BURST FADE FEATURING FREEHAND TECHNIQES.

Before Haircut

Step 1

2.5 guard — remove bulk weight and begin setting the canvas.

Step 2

Use trimmers to bald out the bottom guideline.

Step 3

Go in with the foil shaver to completely remove the hair follicle and create a clean bald section.

Step 4

Create your 1 guard closed guideline.

Step 5

Use the 1.5 guard open below the 2 guard, then close it slightly to blend into the 1 guard area.

Step 6

Use the 0.5 guard to soften and remove the zero line above the bald section.

Step 7

Remove all guards and work downward with the clipper to reduce any remaining dark spots or visible lines.

Step 8

Use the 0.5 guard carefully behind the ear area — maintain structure through the nape and avoid pushing the blend too high.

Step 9

Use the trimmer to shape and sharpen the edges.

Step 10

Use a trimmer for final cleaning.

Step 11

Final result.
